(506) 653 85 33 Requirements for volunteering at CEPIA: Apply for volunteering by E-mail at least one month before you want to start (include your motivation & personal information/CV); know a little about our vision, mission, and programs (see website) before the interview; be interviewed by one of our staff members before volunteering (by phone or in person); - sign our volunteer contract before volunteering;
- provide a copy of your passport/ID;
- send us a digital picture of you;
- give us your crime sheet;
- speak basic Spanish;
- be able to work as a volunteer for a few days a week during at least two months, or for a few hours per week during at least 4 months;
- be at least 18 years old.
CEPIA does not offer remuneration for the volunteer work, for transportation, for food or housing. CEPIA has a list of hosting families (+/- 60$ per week, including breakfast, evening dinner, clothes washing and single room). Houses and apartments are for rent around 300 $ per month in the area of CEPIA. CEPIA pays the volunteer transportation during activities and materials needed for activities. Requirements for University Students (worldwide) in professional practice: - Apply for doing practice at CEPIA by E-mail (motivation letter, university/studies information and contract, and personal information) at least three months (two months for students in Costa Rica) before you want to start;
- know our vision, mission and programs (see website);
- be interviewed by one of our staff members by E-mail or phone (just after application) and just before you start volunteering;
- provide a copy of your passport/ID;
- speak basic Spanish;
- work on practice during at least four days a week during at least two months; in case of students in Costa Rica, the time of practice may vary and is discussed during the interview;
- be at least in your second year of studies;
- be at least 18 years old;
- provide CEPIA with a report of your professional practice in CEPIA at least two months after the end of your practice (send by E-mail or printed version).
